Topic: Fireface UC Midi doesnt work on M1 Macbook (12.6.1)

Hey there !

I use my Fireface UC for quite a while know, and have a dedicated Midi Interface since quite a while thats why i havent used the Fireface for Midi Purposes since i have the new Computer. Now i would need those outputs but cant get them to work.

Doesnt Show up in any DAW i have (the Midi, the Audio works just fine).

I did a driver update / installed all what was newest and most actual.

Turned the device off.

Restarted the computer.

But nothing seems to do the trick.
Is there anything i can try or is there somebody experiencing similar behaviour and knows how to deal with it step by step ?

Best wishes to all of you !

In the Audio.Midi-Setup in the menu window, Midi-Studio
How does it look ? what's inside there when the UC is connected ?

M1-Sequoia, Madiface Pro, Digiface USB, Babyface silver and blue

Yes, first set up the midi device there. If the RME UC doesn’t appear automatically, try the manual (re)search button (the 'all around arrow').

UCX - FF 400 - Babyface pro - Digiface USB - ADI-2 (original)
Mac mini M1 - Macbook pro - iPad Air2

Also that doesnt make it show up.

What happened in the mean time is that i deinstalled the old driver situation and installed this now -> https://rme-audio.de/driverkit-info.html

i did the firmware update beforehand which said 127 (while being 127 before i flashed it also)

Now the "Fireface USB Settings" icon does look different (more modern id say).

And i sadly got one problem layer more, cause everytime i start the usb settings now i get this message :

Concurrently running RME USB kernel extension detected!
Please try to reboot your computer.

If this message persists, disable third party kernel extensions in security policy!

should i be concerned ? Do i have to deinstall anything further what does clash here with what.
Restarting the system did happen, but didnt change the error dialogue.

Oh well....sigh
