Topic: Madiface XT: 2048 Buffer @ 32 kHz in ASIO driver seems to be broken

Hi,

I am running an ASIO host with the latest driver and firmware of Madiface XT.  With a samperate of fs=32 kHz and a buffersize of bs=2048, Madiface does not run as expected: the buffers are delivered corresponding to a samplerate of fs=64 kHz and playback produces buffering artefacts.

1) fs=32 kHz & bs=1024 works as expected.
2) fs=48 kHz & bs=2048 works as expected.
2) fs=64 kHz & bs=4096 works as expected.

Seems like an very specific easy-to-fix bug in the driver code..

Thank you and best regards

Hauke

I never heard before that a specific buffer size is delivered to a certain samplerate.
And from where are these numbers ?
If you have artifacts then simply change the buffer size to a bigger number until the music plays fine.
By the huge number of your buffers selected there must be something wrong with your computer.
Usually a buffer of 128 or 256 should work fine.

That's a known limitation that will not change, sorry. Had been mentioned here before...,somewhere...
