Topic: ff ufx+ cant read ssd - durec

hey guys,

i got a 1tb sandisc extreme ssd external housing for new recordings with my ff ufx+.
i did format it to fat32 on windows and mac but for some reasons it just cant read it.
but it shows up on mac and windows and works ok!

the display says "System File Error" after about 2 seconds...
it seems it doesnt even start to "read" the available space in totalmix fx

my 256 stick works flawless! 40tracks live recording no issues!
i tried literally everything! absolutely no idea why it doesnt want that ssd???

You need to use MBR (Master Boot Record) when you format the disk. If you are using a Mac to format the disk, see here for a guide: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IcgHRLuNHLA

PS: this was i think the third time i had a problem (or i couldn´t figure it out) in a 13years using RME Products!!!!
i could by far don´t think of any other interface and i use them very intensively but i´m still 99% happy!
apart from not having a 32band eq on the outputs... this would be so handy for tuning in the pa at a venue
