Topic: How to connect the ADI-2 DAC fs to a Playstation 5?

yeah tried looking and cant figure this one out

PS5 doesnt have optical

I can connect PS5 to TV via HDMI

Then connect TV to Receiver via Phono cables

This is where i get stuck

I connect phono cables to the ADI-2 and then switch it on but no sound comes into the headphones

I'm doing somthing wrong

This is the wrong attempt, the DAC has no analog inputs.
You have to use a converterbox hdmi to spdif
Something like this :

AFAIR there are also converter boxes USB 1 (a PS 5 limitation) to SPDIF which would also work.

ok so this device, it connects to ps5 vias usb?  then how does it then connect to the ADI-2?

looking at the pictures its not clear unless im missing somthing? or does it then go in the optical port?

In the description : ...no power supply
Therefor USB-bus-power

And yes from this converter via optical toslink cable to the adi-2 optical input.
Stereo-signal only.

The one from my link is explicit dedicated to Playstation 5 and 4

Link 1 and 3 from you looking good but I can't say.
Link 2 will work but it says the optical audio out will provide surround 5.1, not sure how this will work for the ADI-2...

I would do the risk and try one of the USB units. I mean your risk.
