Topic: Fireface 800 standalone mode (not MIDI)

I’ve been searching all over for this, but can’t find a definitive way to do it. Trying to use my fireface 800 as a standalone unit, not connected to the computer. Looking for a way to monitor the signal from drum mics to RME to headphones, all without turning on the PC.‘any tips? ’is this even possible? When practicing, I just want to hear the audio without having to boot up the PC. Thanks!

Hi
You can do that, but you have to set up the Fireface on the computer first. All the channel routings and other settings can be stored to the internal memory. After that, the connection to the computer is not needed anymore.
