RME User Forum → ADI-2 & 2/4 Pro series, ADI-2 DAC series → AKM DAC AK449x Sound control bits
May someone tells how the AKM AK449x Sound control bits are configured by design:
- as measurement mode
or
- as any known Velvet configuration
While this bits cannot be set by any GUI.
So we know, whether the ADI-2 Pro series FW are delivered for measurement or for any AKM Velvet purpose 
Also, newer AK449x-XXX have any different possible settings than before Fire
Hp
They are set to default (measurement mode).
In other words it is really completely unknown how the advertised AKM VELVET sounds!
Could be as important as FPGA compile difference, as different FPGA layout / tweaks, and as phase altering.
Also measure wise completely unknown how this AKM VELVET performs even in the AKM datasheets.
My audio turtles like to have those Sound Controls on the RME GUI.
