Topic: tale of the lost software playback channels

I had a weird thing happen last Thursday during a session, really embarrassing: the software playback channels inexplicably disappeared from TotalMix. The sound was still there, just no visual feedback and thus not able to adjust levels etc.

I tried Total Reset, closing and reopening the application, powering down and rebooting the UCXII, restarting the computer, nothing worked.

Finally, I tried "New TotalMix Window" and that did it!

I guess it was just a GUI redraw error or something, but it had me trouble-shooting in front of the talent, not great.

Re: tale of the lost software playback channels

Another weird issue is I frequently lose one side of analog stereo input 5/6. No big deal, it requires me to move the gain knob and it comes back, but I guess that shouldn't happen?

Are you up to date with firmware and drivers? Neither of these are common issues.

I am now. I was one driver/firmware version behind, I guess. But it was still reasonably current, like from earlier this year.

Actually, the gain issue was acknowledged earlier this year by Matthias:

I now have the latest everything, so it should be fixed.
