Topic: AES Outputs

I’m a new user. I have a UCX II and I have been successful in getting sound from my device through the headphones. I’m attempting to output the signal via XLR outputs using AES. I have my hardware outputs set for AES, however I’m getting no signal to my powered speakers.

Hardware Outputs in Bottom Row show a signal in both Phones and AES.

What should my “Main Out” be set to? I’ve tried AES and Analog 1 & 2 but no luck on getting sound from my XLR Outputs. I have made sure that my sliders were turned up.

I have watched the videos and still can’t determine why I can’t get a signal out of my XLR jacks using AES.

Any ideas on what I’m doing wrong?

Re: AES Outputs

What loudspeakers are these ? Brand ? Model ?
Sure they have AES input ? New users can easily messing up AES XLR input with analog XLR input...?

For the main-out I would always select the output where the loudspeakers are connected, in your case the AES-output.
It's more important when one uses an ARC-USB remote device where the big rotary knob is moving the fader of the main-out.
