Topic: No primary audio stream on Mac

Hi.

I just noticed that there is no default Audio stream with RME Ficeface 802 on Mac Sonoma. Actually when I look at in Audio Devices the first channel is Primary. But its levels is set to zero (all the other channels are also set so zero and it is is not possible to change any of the values for the RME 802) It is possible to change leveles on other devices on my Mac Studio it is just the RME802 that is all locked down and greyed out.

Running latest 4.08 drivers and latest version of Mac Sonoma now.

Yet there isn't any issue. Playback, even of system audio, works. You set channel levels in TotalMix FX.

Re: No primary audio stream on Mac

Ok, so it is disabled in Mac OS cause it is designed to be handled by TotalMix.

I just noticed this while trying to find a solution to getting my FF802 to work with mundane applications like Zoom, Teams, Steam and others that expect Microphone audio to come in as primary stream (channel 1). I have not found any option to set default channel for system audio in totalmix other than wasting channel 9 and route that output to input of analog 1.
