Topic: Digiface Dante - Sync dropouts with MADI

Hello community,

My setup is :

- Mac studio M1 Monterey
- Digiface Dante (for USB interface)
- Merging Horus (for AD-DA via MADI)

No Dante device are connected at the moment.

Digiface and Horus seem to sync nicely at first but then clicks/dropouts occur randomly (every 10 minutes let's say)
I tried to set Horus' clock to "MADI in" as well as "Internal", same issue (it's worse when sync to MADI in though)

1. Do you have any clue why this happens ?
2. By the way, how do you set the Digiface clock to work as Master or Slave ? The "Fireface USB Settings" app doesn't label it clearly to me.

Digiface Dante has MADI option (it is either WC or MADI), it must be switched in the "Settings" panel (BNC IO - MADI).

1. There can also be other problem apart from bad Clock settings, e.g. bad quality cable.
2. There is an option "Sync to external" which is available only when there is no Dante. This syncs DF to WC or MADI (depends in the settings). If you connect Dante, the option is no longer available, DF is synced to Dante with no other option.

And all this only with current firmware and driver.
