Topic: Total Mix/Ventura/older Blue Babyface

Hi,

I've read through the forum and did a google search but nothing I've tried is working.
I just upgraded from Big Sur to Ventura.
I was able to use my older Blue Babyface with Big Sur with the v 3.28 driver...it now doesn't work, and I'm unable to update the firmware at all (when I click on "update" nothing happens)
It's not a privacy/security issue in settings.
Total Mix does not open.
Have tried unplugging USB and plugging it back in and restarting
Fireface USB Settings shows my babyface fine (I'm on firmware v 203 - quite behind!), Apple sound settings does not show Babyface.

Did you re-install the driver ?
You can try an older one like this : https://rme-audio.de/downloads/driver_usb_mac_223.zip

What kind of Mac do you have? Please reinstall the 3.28b driver and make sure you allow the "RME GmbH" driver.

It's not the version of the driver but a security issue. Otherwise the the settings would not show. It's most probably set to 32kHz, because it cannot communicate with the device.

Yes it was set to 32kHz...
and I had missed a privacy and security message (I swore I had not!)
I rely on this for work every day - I am so grateful people responded!
