Topic: RME Firefac UCX + RME Babyface Pro

Hi,

I own a Fireface UCX and had to buy a monitor controller because of the very high output of the RME (Behringer Control2USB).

Since the Behringer monitor-knob started to crackle and also I want to make sure my audio signal isn't compromised by this device, I was thinking about buying the ARC.

But because I already need an interface that can be used USB bus powered with my notebook for mobile recordings, I just bought a 2nd hand RME Babyface Pro for a pretty good price (450€).

My question now is: can I use the Babyface as a monitor-controller for my RME Fireface UCX? (will buy 2x JTS Mic attenuator MA-123 to be able to go out with full gain)

I do not know, if you can use BF Pro to controll UCX..... But for sure, you could use any MIDI controller to do the job.

Also, you talk about too high output of RME. I am not sure if it is case of UCX, but many RME interfaces allow to set output reference level. So, changing it might help.
