Topic: new Apple user-should I use Kernel or Dk drivers?

Hello.

I've just bought a Macbook pro and want to conect my RAYDAT via a sonnet PCIe TB chassis. My card us fully updated firmware wise as it's in a PC at the moment so I have a choice of 2 drivers.

It seems the Kernel drivers are still OK in Sonoma so I'm thinking this is still the best one to use for now.

Anyone have any advice?

I would use DriverKit.

thanks MC I actually went ahead and used the kernel driver after watching the you tube video as it 'suggested' better performance. I could have interpreted that wrong though.

Anyway just wanted to say the RAYDAT is working perfecftly connected via my Sonnet TB chassis to my macbook pro running sonoma and also to my windows  AMD 7950x -windows 11 DAW.

p.s. when the time comes when I have to use the DK version is it an easy thing to remove the old kernel driver?

Nothing to remove, just install new driver when the time comes.
As long the other driver works fine, be happy.
