Topic: ADI-2 Pro FS R BE - Windows CC WASAPI operation fixed at 192k SF

Hi Forum! Could not find a related existing thread, so opening one:

1. USB DAC Mode with Windows 10 PC in CC Stereo driver compatibiity mode
2. RME latest drivers installed
3. Music app Device selection "WASAPI (exclusive)" ADI-2

Acording to the manual, the app should have acces to the driver to adjust sampling rate based on the music track played.

However, sampling rate is fixed at 192k and cannot be changed and does not change when playing music to adjust to recording sampling rate. In my case from 44,1 over 88,2 to 96 khz.

How to enable music apps to actully switch ADI-2 to the sampling rate of the music record?

Thanks in advance!

You omitted an important piece of information. Which app is that?

When you use ASIO driver, your apps must support ASIO to change SR and buffer size. If you want to use WASAPI exclusive mode to automatically switch the sample rate, you must use the standard UAC driver instead (and uninstall the MADIface driver).

Uninstalling the drivers properly was the culprit!

Indeed, app is important: whilst AIMP does not support controlling the dac SF (at least I did not get it to work), foobar2000 can.

Thanks!
