Yes, please. Also the current state file of TM FX might be useful, as I expect this to be the issue. It is in user/Library/Application Support/RME TotalMix FX (hold down Option key to find this library in the Finder's Go menu), and will have a name like last.FirefaceUCXIIxxxxxxxx.xml. After archiving it you could delete it there, TM FX will most probably start again.

Same issue here with the UCX II, totalmix won't start anymore, crashes all the time.

Mac OS Ventura 13.6.3 - tryed 3.31 USB kernel extension and usb driver kit 4.10 - have tried both, but totalmix keeps crashing, stays in a loop with startup.

Hey MC,

On Win 10 latest updates and all that.

Flashed firmware on my UCX II turn it off and on again, and then install latest drivers(Run as Admin.), but no sound source in sound, I can't get sound to work now. In device manager everything is fine. USB is connected. Help...

I was able to update from 3.28B to 3.31 Kernel Extension, updated firmware, and 1.93 TotalMix FX for my UFX III on Ventura 13.6.3, and all seems to be working well.

Is there documentation for the new Safety Offset?

To recap: there was an issue with 180% Zoom on Retina Macs. TM FX Windows was not affected.

TM FX 1.93(3) for Mac is now available via the link in the first post, and fixes the issue. Mac USB and TB drivers now downloaded are already updated and come with 1.93(3).

By the way did a quick RTL test on the 3.31 Kernel Extension driver new
safety offset settings

Roundtrip latency on UFX+ with USB3 connection.
(Macbook Pro 14" M1Max)
@48khz 64 samples

Short: 4.104ms
Normal: 4.604ms
Large: 6.604ms

So, the new "Large" seem to add 2ms latency to prevent the click and drop.

One interesting note, I also tested the new 1.05 DriverKit TB driver.
The 48kHz 64samples measured 4.604ms
Which is the same as USB3 connection with safety offset set to "Normal"
I remember a few years back (I forgot which driver version) when using TB connection, it did measure less roundtrip latency than USB3 under the same sample buffer setting (the difference was unperceivable in practice but lower latency nonetheless)
I wonder did RME increased the safety buffer on TB driver as well?

I've just updated my UFX+, If I open my Digicheck it'll shut down immediately and Digicheck NG shows Not Assigned under Audio Device Setup.

I'm using Windows 10 and connected via USB.

Is this a known bug or just for me?

They seem not to be necessary with PCIe.

first of all thanks for keeping up with the updates and improvements!

Now, just two noob questions:

1. Concerning the "Added independent use of AES, ADAT1 and ADAT2 as 3-way AES/SPDIF I/O." could anyone please explain what this means in practical terms and give an example of how it can be used? I currently have a UFXII with a Kemper connected via AES/SPDIF and two Behringer 8 channel ADAT extensions...

2. I mostly use my RME interfaces for recording and have no previous experience in using eq for room correction / surround sound setups. Still it's something that seems really interesting and useful. Would anybody, or perhaps even RME themselves, be willing to do a tutorial on how to use this feature. So, how measure a room's acoustics and then, a walkthrough to learn how to use Totalmix to fix any problems. I've already seen the Mathias' video on the RME Youtube channel but that seems to be more about how the UI works.... I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one who would love to gain some additional insights!

In the past
- AES, ADAT1 and ADAT2 were only fully independent I/O ports when ADAT2 has been set to ADAT format
- only ADAT2 could be set to SPDIF format (optical SPDIF)

Now they are completely separate ports, and you can set ADAT1 or ADAT2 to SPDIF format as you like, fully independent of each other and the AES port.

Been using the Room EQ plus the 3 band EQ for a few days now. Can already say that Sonarworks is not going to be used anymore. Get so tremendously good results with this. Measured the studio with REW in combination with TM room EQ. Everything pretty flat freq now. Without sounding dull. (3-way monitors with a sub).

You can use the 3-band PEQ to have 12 bands in total.

What do you mean with 'I had to load & store each one again' exactly?

Thanks for explaining, couldn't remember the gory details any more and didn't want to post something wrong, so I focused on describing the result of it

After the update, manipulate the new settings (Crossfeed and REQ), then load presets which were saved before the update - they won't revert CF/REQ settings to their default values. After a preset gets stored, then loading it starts to change CF/REQ too. Can be seen rather as undocumented feature and not a bug, as it occurs only once per preset, until its saved. Hence I needed to load & store each preset once, in order to prevent them all from ignoring CF/REQ settings.

Speaking of naming, renaming channels is quite slow and inefficient in TMFX compared to a DAW. In my DAW, I can type the name of the first channel, then press TAB to go to the next channel, where I can type the name, then TAB again.

Can you please implement this feature in the next version of TMFX? It would save so much time during sessions.
