Topic: Improved performance when mains powered.....BabyfacePro FS

Performance wise, is it better to have Babyface proFS running off mains power instead of usb. Does it make any difference,
Running Ableton on Win11. It works very well without being powered by mains but I was just curious.
Small gains and all that.....

There was one case where the external power supply was needed, some older iPads had not enough power when two condenser mics been used.

Yes true and if you have issues because of lacking USB power it will fix it too. But when USB power is up to spec, it is not needed.
Also an Android phone does not supply any power
