Topic: Wet Recording

Hi,
I record a hardware synth and then rout  this already recorded audio track through an external effect.
I work with total mix fx and only can record the wet signal, only effect. Is it possible to record the original track and tje wet effect signal in one audio track?

Re: Wet Recording

At the effect unit there must be a wet/dry knob to adjust the amount of effect.
If you tell the name model of that effect unit we can look into it.

Re: Wet Recording

Its an pcm-70. i havent found this button.

Re: Wet Recording

Could be that I have to set this wet/dry in every preset itself. Otherwise I have to rout this like a send in cubase (effect channel)

Re: Wet Recording

Yes it is in the menu of each preset und you have to adjust and save it for each preset.

This is the link to the user manual of the PCM70 :

I would let it be this way and record the wet signal and mix it to the original signal afterwards in the DAW, use it as send-effect.

Re: Wet Recording

Is not it better to record the both dry and wet, so that the mix may be adjusted in DAW? One could also compensate for delay in effect, if needed/desired.

The dry signal is already recorded in the DAW, no need to double, right ?
