Topic: PrestoMusic exclusive mode doesn´t work on ADI-2 DAC FS

Hello,

I subscribed to the streaming service called PrestoMusic which offers Exclusive mode. It means that application itself should control RME, bypass the Windows mixer and set the correct sampling frequency.

However, RME still stays on 44.1 even when I stream 192 kHz files. I connected cheap Topping D10s to the PC and the frequency switches to 192 kHz like a charm.

Is there any advice on this issue please?

Thank you in advance.

Uninstall the RME driver.

When doing so with the Windows process, check the “delete driver files”-box.
Else the driver will automatically be reinstalled after reboot or when ADI-2 is connected the next time.

Many Thanks, KaiS.

Unfortunately it doesn´t work. But I decided to keep the connection via Topping which is fabulous in two ways.

1, As USB bridge it can provide the bit-perfect (e. g. 24/96) signal to RME through TOSLINK. Then I can listen to music via headphones and Neumann studio monitors.

2, As a DAC it can feed my second PC speakers and the second headphone amplifier with analog output.

And I spared the USB connection in RME for a smartphone with OTG adaptor.
