Topic: Power supply makes strange noise

Hello!

Yesterday I have recognized, that the power supply for my RME ADI-2 Pro FS R makes some silly noise. I can only here it in a distance lower than 1m and it is present in Standby and On-Mode, plugged of it vanished. It sounds like a american police siren.

Is this a normal behaviour or is it a defect?

Well, the same situation in my room.

When it´s dark and everything is quiet I can hear the police siren, too. However, I can´t notice it during the day.

I decided to unplug the power supply from the socket when I don´t use RME.

It has got one advantage: big red circle (standby mode) on the front panel doesn´t distract me during the day.
