Topic: 4 Midi Ports but 8 appear in DAW

So my UFX III has 2 MIDI ins and 2 MIDI outs.

But in my DAW it shows 4 MIDI ins and 4 MIDI outs.

Can anyone clarify why this is, and how I might use this?

With UFX disconnect, are some Midi ports still there in the DAW ? May be the computer system has it's own Midi ports beside those from the interface ?
And the UFX lll has Madi, Midi-over-Madi is probably 2 ports ?

MIDI over MADI via optical and BNC.

It is documented in the manual.

"All RME MADI devices support the invisible transmission of MIDI via MADI. MIDI data can be transmitted from/to other RME devices with MADI ports, without any additional line or cabling between computer (MADI interface) and external units. These ports can be accessed under the name UFX III MADI Optical and UFX III MADI coaxial or UFX III MIDI Port 3 and 4."
