Topic: UFX+, 12mic and RME Connector Issues

I'm Cross listing this post- as I need help

  I have a UFX+, 12mic(AVB).  I have been using MADI optical via a thunderbolt 2 connection for a few years. The earlier RME MIDI Remote AVB worked fine.  My Mac is/was a 2018 MBP.  I now have a M1 MBP. I'm also conection the computer via USB3 instead of the TB2

I can connect via the web browser- no problem- but the RME Connector APP- no luck.  I don't seem to understand how to post images on this post either LOL- below is a link to screenshots

Possibly wrong MIDI settings in RME connector.

Basically, you have two choices

a) to access the 12Mic via MIDI over MADI

As already stated, check the RME connector settings which ports you use for "MIDI in" and "MIDI out"
- for MADI optical, use "UFX+ MIDI Port 3"
- for MADI coaxial, use "UFX+ MIDI Port 4"

b) via network

Simply connect 12Mic and your PC to the same LAN. Using IP has the advantage of having a higher bandwidth available compared to "MIDI over MADI" which uses only a few free bits in the MADI protocol header.

So, with IP the metering can show both, peak and RMS values:
