Topic: loops and restarts

With a large project I am getting small loops and restarts constantly when trying to play back.

On top of this there are very loud audio glitches of very loud whit noise unexpectedly. These are actually painful and a bit concerning due to hearing.

When I use headphones with the regular audio out of the Mac everything is normal and responsive.

There are several nice and experienced users in this forum, willing to help (including myself, hehehe). But I can tell you, they all want the same: much more detailed information about your issue and all the devices you have in use. So please share with us
- exact RME interface model and its connection (USB 2/3, PCIe …) to the
- computer model
- macOS version
- RME driver and firmware version
- settings in DAW (buffer size, sample rate) and RME (interface settings, TotalMix)
- software (DAW or whatever) you use
Without this, it’s almost impossible to help.
Also screenshots would be great.
