Topic: RME Fireface UFX+ seems hung, no display, lights on

Recently my Fireface UFX+ seems to be not working. When I turn it on, all of the MIC/LINE inputs on the front have the SIG and 48V lights on. The State LEDs are all green. Nothing on the display and buttons/encoders don't do anything. I tried disconnecting USB but still same.

I tried pressing MIC/GAIN and top right headphone encoder while turning on, but this seems to do nothing. I thought it might factory reset. Any help appreciated.

Is the internal power supply the original one ? It might be dying. You may have to send it in for repair.

Unfortunately not and it is out of warranty. It seems this is a known power supply failure issue. There are a few Youtube videos about replacing it.

Not really. Those videos are about UFX, not UFX+. Different ps inside.

very difficult when the issue is tempermental, as I’ve sent it to the distributor but it’s behaving itself now. I’ll replace the ps and see if it ever comes back. D
