I have used RME Babyface Pro FS well until reinstalling my MacOS.

after clean new installation with macOS Sonoma 14.4.1 to my MacBook Pro M1 Max (Apple Silicon)
my Mac unable to detect Babyface Pro anymore.

I modified Security Policy to "Reduced Security" at Startup Security Utility
https://rme-audio.de/rme-macos.html

I installed macOS 11 and up USB Series Kernel Extension Driver first
"driver_usb_mac_331.zip"

My Mac unable to detect babyface Pro FS

then I installed again with macOS 11 or up USB Series DriverKit Driver "driver_usbdk_mac_410.zip"

clean install means,
I erased all my HDD partition
and installed latest MacOS Sonoma 14.4.1

only one concern is
on the installation process,
terminal window was opened
and try to run a script "sudo /use/bin/kmutil/rebuild"

so I entered my Password,
but the process failed.

And the unit for sure is not set to CC-mode, right ?

Press and hold the two buttons SELECT and DIM during power up will flip CC-mode and normal-mode.

cc mode will not require driver install.
then way PC mode is recommended?

which restrictions are applied on cc mode?

I thought CC mode only used when I connect it to IPAD

I have started very clean install of OS (macOS Sonoma 14.4.1) on Apple M1 Max MacBookPro
and
I tried to install driver(https://rme-audio.de/downloads/driver_usb_mac_331.zip) and tried to detect Babyface Pro FS in CC mode.

but all tries were failed.

help me to use RME audio

Sorry you misunderstood, you shall not use CC-mode, be sure it is in PC-mode (normal-mode).

I get to understand the reason.

when RME Babyface Pro FS was still powered on through external power adapter,
USB plug/unplug mode change or new device detecting does not working.
even the babyface pro display the mode changed on the screen (?) CC/PC
actually it does not work without total power off (remove all power sources, USB and external power adapter)

my issue is now solved.
