Both clocks need to be in sync. But depending on your connected devices this can be done in numerous ways, so we need to know what you want to connect. And at what sample rates etc.
Hei vinark,
You have to make the settings for the clock in the Fireface USB Settings. And I don't even have the devices I want to connect yet.
Sorry, but I expressed myself incorrectly. I actually just wanted to know whether this is technically possible, parallel operation?
Sorry for my bad English.
Hi
Die Antwort heisst „ja“:

Seite 20 für Windows, Seite 28 für Mac
Yes it is possible. At worst you loose one output adat port on digiface one and one input port on digiface 2 for sync. So that will give you 7 adat pairs. But if the sync can be set up via the adda, you will have 8 port pairs.
It is possible to attach up to three Digiface USB. More preciselly up to three RME interfaces that use madiface driver.
Hallo,
vielen Dank für eure Hilfe,
Gruß Christian
Up to three devices is being tested by RME. Theoretically, more is possible (but not tested). Then other issues might arise: too many channels, overloaded USB2 bus, you need to ensure to deploy the interfaces to dedicated USB controllers, etc.
