Topic: Low Level into pro tools?

I see a ton of level in totalmix, but in pro tools its as if its padded back a good 30 db?   Im peaking a mic in totalmix but the level hitting pro tools is VERY VERY LOW.   All inpuuts that I can tell?   Really not sure whats going on?  Somehwere?   Ive never seen this in all of my years?

Re: Low Level into pro tools?

What you see in Totalmix input channel is exactly what is sent to the DAW.
You must have enabled a pad in ProTools or some sort of auto-gain on the input in the ProTools track ?

Re: Low Level into pro tools?

Thats the way Ive always known it to work.... ?  For some reason the mic inputs show up as expected but the 8 line inputs are not?   Even if I completely peak out a meter in totalmix, they show up all wrong in pro tools?

Re: Low Level into pro tools?

You can use Reaper or our own DigiCheck NG to verify the levels that an application gets from our driver. If that fits then check the issue with ProTools...

Re: Low Level into pro tools?

This may seem dumb, but I've done it in PT:

Are you reading the meter on the correct channel?  If you have multiple microphones plugged in, you could be monitoring bleed on a different channel.
