Topic: [Solved] I turned on computer, totalmix and babyface pro are gone

Hello, out of the blue, I had no sound, totalmix gone, babyface gone from audio devices.

I tried to select PC Mode, I reinstalled the drivers.
Total mix only opens in the background, I cannot open the window, it's weird

The only thing literally that changed is that I disconnected a usb-c external hard drive from the front panel of my case.

Re: [Solved] I turned on computer, totalmix and babyface pro are gone

Hi
It’s always much easier to help having informations about Windows / macOS system versions, driver, firmware…
I would:
- try another USB port
- try another USB cable
- connect the BFpro to another computer (if available)
- try with/without separate power supply for the BFpro

UCX - FF 400 - Babyface pro - Digiface USB - ADI-2 (original)
Mac mini M1 - Macbook pro - iPad Air2

Trying another usb c port did the trick

Mind boggling that disconnecting a usb c external hard drive from the front panel have an impact on usb c ports on the back panel

Windows …

Thanks

I don't think it's due to Windows, but rather to the internal structure of USB. With desktop computers, it is easier to retrofit an additional PCIe card and only connect the recording interface to it.

Do you think it's normal that my totalmix is a 32bit process ?
