Topic: RME ARC constant Sysex messages

Hi there,
I have a doubt about my RME ARC:
Once opening MIDI MONITOR on my mac i noticed that arc was constantly sending a storm of MIDI messages superfast. A very kind user here on the forum told me that there is a firmware update for the ARC USB that makes it use SysEx instead of note data. So i did that.

The result is that now the arc is sending a "midi temp 10 bytes" each second. Also sometimes with that it send aftertouch, but it's not everytime. it's kinda random.

Is all that messaging normal? i'd like to use the arc just as a phisical big knob volume, reducing as much as possible all the midi messages from it. I already have a ton of midi going on in the studio and want to cut all the unecessary infos.
I hate so much not having a super simple little master volume knob on my FF800!!!

That is more than normal and zero problem. MIDI includes many messages that are sent regularly, for example the Actrive Sensing.

From current manuals:
Note: The MIDI input LEDs display any kind of MIDI activity, including MIDI Clock, MTC and Active Sensing. The latter is sent by most keyboards every 0.3 seconds

Ok, i got it. I didn't think that the arc needed to deal with time messages!!
