Topic: Can't get rme fireface UC to work with macbook air m2

Hi,
I would appreciate some assistance so I can get my old RME Fireface UC to work with my macbook air m2, and soon my apple studio m2 max.

I found some information online, I did restart the macbook in recovery mode to enable ''Allow user management of kernel extensions from identified developers''

I then installed the rme fireface driver, still totalmix is unresponsive and doesn't open.
Is there a step-by-step guide somewhere?

Some people say that I have to update the firmware on a different PC ( windows ). I do have a windows pc but I don't know how to proceed with the update.

I would appreciate some assistance.

Thanks!

First of all you have to set the UC into Apple mode (AP). And which driver (version number) did you install?

Hi
There is an unique thing with the UC: it has two work modes, separate ones for Windows and Mac. Is it set to 'Apple' for sure?
The firmware update (which I would recommend anyway) is important when you want use the driver kit driver v4.10. Which one have you installed? For the firmware update using the Windows PC you would need to install a driver first there. Then you need the FUT (which only works on computers with a working RME driver).
EDIT: sorry, I didn't see MCs post before while writing my own at the same time...
