Topic: Latency problems and setup issues with FIREFACE UC on MPB M1

So I've been working for quite some time now with my RME FIREFACE UC in my MBP M1 Via a preety cheep USB Hub, and of course I got some bad latency problems, and because of that I can only use direct monitoring Via Totalmix.
I'm currently trying do decide beetween investing in a fancy usb c hub like the "Caldigit" (which is very expensive and not ideal for me), or investing in a good Usb B to Usb c cable.
Any thoughts on that? I a good Usb B to C cable would fix the problem? is it reliable?

Would love to hear your opinions.

Direct USB-C connection is definitely a good option.

But any ok cable will do, especially on the short side like 1 to 1.5m. try a cheap one first. I have had fancy looking expensive brand cables with problems too.
