Topic: FF800 Hardware Insert Problem

Hi everyone!

Here is the problem : If I want to creat an analog stereo insert "loop" (for ex : going out of the FF800 through a pair of analog Outs, then through a stereo compressor, then going back in the FF800 through a pair of analog Ins) I get a damaged audio signal.

It is easily audible : the audio is filtered (less highs), the stereo is weird, and roughly 6db lower than it should be.

I blamed the compressor, but the result is the same with only 2 jack-TRS cables doing the loop.
I also tried different cables and different ins and outs combinations, monitoring via totalmix or via the Cubase insert function, each time recording for comparison. I even tried with the mic inputs instead of the line ones.

The result is always the same (let alone one input that seems lower). It drives me crazy smile.  Anyway, it sounds like a hardware problem.

Anyone had an experience like this?

Thank you very much!

Re: FF800 Hardware Insert Problem

Typical reason would be double monitoring by DAW and TotalMix, so output signals partially cancel.
