Topic: UFXIII Playing Youtube clicks&pops&high pitch noise on outputs
Hi everyone,
I'm reporting my second issue with my new UFXIII, which I bought from Thomann last month.
Issue 2: When I'm watching YouTube, I hear clicks/pops and some dirty output (like a high pitch distorted sound), even with high buffer settings like 256 & 512. I didn't have any issues like this with my previous device, a Babyface Pro FS, even when running at 96K with a buffer of 128.
To keep this short, I've already checked my PC for the following:
Latencymon: Everything seems fine for audio.
MSI utility: I've already set high priority for nvlddmkm.sys.
Ramses information: I've adjusted BIOS settings and set windows for maxium PC performance (thanks for the help).
My PC specs are:
DELL Precision M4700 (old but Babyface Pro FS had no issues)
Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-3720QM CPU @ 2.60GHz 2.60 GHz
32 GB RAM
Windows 10 PRO (tried with clean install)
Latest RME drivers installed and flashed: Driver date:03.05.24, Version:0.9840, HW revision:20
Regarding USB Diagnosis, I sometimes get errors on both USB2 & USB3 ports (tested on both). Errors include things like Fifo error and numbers like 11, 3, 4. I'm using the USB cable that came with the UFXIII, and I've made sure I connected it to the
USB ports directly linked to chipset via Device manager. I've even tried different USB cables to rule out a faulty one since from the RME forum these errors seem to be related to USB transport.
I also tested on a different PC, but so far, it seems to be worse because I'm NOT getting any errors in the RME USB Diagnosis window, yet I'm still experiencing clicks, pops, and even high-pitched noise on the outputs when watching YouTube.
New Pc & specs:
Phantom Canyon NUC (NUC11PHKi7C)
Windows 11 pro
Intel Core i7-1165G7 Processor (4 cores/8 threads, 12M Cache, up to 4.70 GHz)
GPU: GeForce RTX 2060, 6GB GDDR6
GPU: Intel Iris Xe Graphics inbuilt in SOC
Memory: 64GB RAM
Storage:2 SSD samsung
USB: Three Type-A USB 3.2 Gen2 ports (1 front, 2 rear) + two Type-C ports
Thanks.
