Hello.

I use an Adi-2 DAC FS as my monitor DA in the studio.

I have a technical question and hope someone can answer it for me :-)

Connection options are:

1. Playback on MAC -> Adi 2 DAC via USB -> listen

2. Playback on MAC -> UA Apollo -> AES Out Apollo -> SPDIF/AES in Adi 2 DAC -> listen

In both cases the ADI-2 DAC uses Steadyclock technology to reduce jitter and uses its own FS clock to perform the D/A conversion.

Now to my question:

The technical difference is that in case 1 Steady Clock FS uses the direct digital signal from the Mac.

In case 2 Steady Clock FS uses a signal that has already been clocked by the Apollo.

Is that correct?
