Topic: New browser tab for external links

Hi all, dear RME forum moderator team
In forum posts, would it be possible to let open links (often these are used for screenshots) automatically in a new browser tab? I often forget to do this manually, then after reading / watching the external content I close the tab instead of switching backwards in the browser and of course have to open a new tab for the forum site again.

Re: New browser tab for external links

Looks like this would require installing some kind of forum software extension... There appears to be no simple setting.

Thanks for the reply. I see… so I have to store in my brain to use the 'open link in new tab' shortcut smile

Re: New browser tab for external links

Just remember to always use the right mouse button on the RME forum.
I will admit that this has sometimes had me confused as well. Let's see whether MC is open to the idea of considering to think about discussing the installation of such an extension. I think it's the first time someone brought this up, so priority may be on the low side...

But then, isn't there some kind of browser setting for this perhaps...?
