Topic: Babyface Pro FS Inputs 3/4

Hi all,
Quick question - inputs 3/4 are unbalanced and can accept line signals. Would it be safe/acceptable to use a TRS cable into this input? The line signal is coming from my mic pre. It's a short cable, so I don't need the signal to remain balanced, I only want to make sure a TRS cable is safe/acceptable into the TS input.

edit: I am using inputs 1/2 already, wondering if I can use 3/4 to have more inputs from my preamp!

Thank you for the confirmation! I appreciate it. I was also wondering if the TS inputs were wired with tip-ring-sleeve connectors, so this answers my question too.

29.2 Connector Pinouts

TS jack analog instrument input
The 1/4" TS jacks of the universal line/instrument inputs are wired according to international
standards:
Tip = + (hot), Ring = GND, Sleeve = GND.

XLR Connectors
The XLR sockets of the analog I/Os are wired according to international standards:
1 = GND (Shield), 2 = + (hot), 3 = - (cold).
The servo-balanced input circuitry allows to use monaural TS jacks (unbalanced) with no loss in
level. This is the same as when using a TRS-jack with ring connected to ground.

I often connect one of my preamps, either Black Lion Auteur or Symetrix 202 to inputs 3-4 of my BF pro. No issues and perfect sound quality!

The only issue I remember regarding TRS cable is guitar. Some guitar jack sockets (may be all of them) don't work with TRS jack plugs.

Ah good to know! I think that's what I was remembering, loosely... good to have confirmation!
