Topic: Using Fireface UCX II rear USB DURec connection for other purposes.

Hi, everyone.
Is it possible to use the rear USB connection on the UCX II to connect a cellphone for charging? or for powering up a usb desktop light or devices like that? Dont want to ruin the unit or the device by trying it out and cant find anything about it on the manual or this forums.

This output follows (old) USB specs (0.5 A), and is protected against shorts. Charging will be slow, USB light could work.

In case anyone is interested, the DURec USB port can power a Heritage Audio R.A.M 1000 (5V/5W required) without problems.
