Topic: [Solved] Can't hear headphones - Digiface USB & Ableton, Windows
Hi all, I have no problems with any other DAW, but in Ableton I enable the headphone outputs and no audio comes out.
I'm probaly missing something incredibly basic here.

You have to open Totalmix and route the signal to the headphone output.
First bottom left site the button ASSIGN.
Assigne Phones 1 to PH
See the hardware output channel Phones 1 appeared right side.
Click onto it, it gets highlighted.
Then see your Ableton signal in the middle row software playback channels (the last one PH), pull up the fader.
Now you have routed the music from the software to the headphone.

Thanks. I did this already
I have the test tone playing in Ableton but can't hear anything.
I don't know what you mean by "See the hardware output channel Phones 1 appeared right side."
Here's REAPER, it works fine.
Ableton users did report in the past similar issues.
I would set Totalmix to Full-mode not DAW-mode.
Then you can see if a signal arrives in Totalmix, if not, just use other outputs in Ableton, I would try output 1/2.
This is how the Phones 1 channel appears (when Totalmix is set-up in full-mode) at the right side of the Assign button.
For completeness, fixed - indeed I had to use the full version of totalmix and not DAW mode, and to enable outputs 1&2.
Thanks for the help!
Glad you can work, thanks for the report.
There is a lot software with the same issue, not able to use other channels than 1/2.
Mostly kind of conference tools Meet, Team etc. and Ableton sometimes.
