Topic: [Solved] Babyface Original, gain not working on mic ins

Just upgraded to a mac mini m2 pro, just did the new thing on the m2, as requested by RME, updated driver, and firmware, now if i use a microphone, even with gain at 60db! it is very, very quiet, Babyface hardware meters look ok, Totalmix are real low, tried 3 mics all the same, iam trying to calibrate room with sound id, but the mics are not loud enough for the process, they were on my intel mac book pro, tried both inputs on the Babyface.

Total Mix fx Version 1.93 macos (3)
Firmware v226
Driver v3.31
Mac Mini m2 pro
Mac os Sonoma 14,5
Logic pro x

I am at a loss

Forgot to activate Phantom power? I have the exact same hardware and drivers here, and Mic gain works correctly.

Phantom power is on.

Please provide screenshots of Totalmix with nothing connected and gain at lowest and highest settings

Cant believe after years of doing Audio production, I've just been caught out by a bad cable, i have a new cable now and everything is working fine.
