Topic: Urgent: UFX+ cannot work in USB3 mode after selecting Thunderbolt mode

Hello,
My UFX+ cannot work in USB3 mode after selecting Thunderbolt mode. The menu HARDWARE/Diagnosis it's not been displayed when I start the interface without the computer connected. I need interface this week for an important performance and I don't know what to do since I really need the USB mode back.

Hi,

Shouldn’t that be obvious. Thunderbolt mode is used for thunderbolt connection. If you use USB, change your UFX+ back to Auto- or USB-mode.

From the UFX harware buttons, navigate to SETUP/REV, Options, Hardware/Diagnosis, Interface Mode.

Did you try a factory reset ? Page 52 in the user manual.

But no, OP means he cannot go back to USB mode after he had it set to TB mode!

Thanks for the quick answers. So I just tried to load setups 1, 2 and 3. I still cannot see the Hardware/Diagnosis tab. I can only use the interface with Thunderbolt now. I don't know what else to try.
Why is the menu Hardware/Diagnosis still hidden? I tried disconnecting usb and thunderbolt, reboot, firmware update.
I bought the thunderbolt adapter a week ago, used it for the first time and now I cannot find anything to go back to usb. I tested the CC mode and it works somehow. Any more ideas?

Ok, I checked again and the USB3 and Thunderbolt are active after the factory reset. I guess the factory reset have the AUTO option activated. What I am wondering is why I cannot still the Hardware/Diagnosis tab. It should be visible when no computer is connected in the standalone mode. Any ideas? I would to like to be able to select usb2 (for using with longer cables extensions or usb hubs when I don't need MADI) as well as CC mode but I am not able anymore.

What is the firmware version of this UFX+? We are at DSP 59 and no such effects. Are you sure you did not get confused and need to turn Encoder 1 to change from main page Setups back to Options? Is any other page of 'Options' available?
