Topic: Random ringing sound

I don't have a way to reproduce this, I've tried to narrow it down but it seem very random.

The issue is my ADI-2 Pro FS R Black - Driver version 0.9840 HW Revision 267 - will start sounding like it bit crusher, kind of. This is the closes sound to it that I have heard. It's very ringy though. Here's a time stamp of something that sounds real close https://youtu.be/qXAQ3G062vU?t=29

This seems to only happen when I'm playing audio in windows wdm, but I'm not absolutely sure of that. I do not recollect it happening while in Ableton. Definitely while watching/listening to youtube.

I'm not sure how to troubleshoot this or even what info to get to help you but I thought this screenshot might be helpful:

There is a drum pattern and a piano arpeggio, can't hear issues out of this.
You may have to record the analog out of the ADI-2 into an audio interface to obtain a useful example of the issue.

Ringing or bit crushed sounds are USB transmission issues...and your screenshot clearly shows 1 such error.

Happens here too, very occasionally with Tidal from iPhone, only after extremely long listening sessions.

Closing Tidal and restart solves it immediately.

Hrm ok this is really helpful and makes sense, as I have been having other odd usb issues. Thanks!
