Topic: Fireface 802 DC Coupled?
I just got a Fireface 802 (non fs) and I’m wondering if it has DC Coupled outputs. I’m not finding anything in the manual. I really hope it does because I planned to use it with Ableton’s CV Tools.
Thanks!

It has not. From UFX ll onwards is where DC-outputs are included.
UFX ll
UFX lll
UCX ll
802 FS
M-1620 Pro
M-32 DA Pro ll
ADI-2/4 Pro
ADI-2 DAC FS
Digiface USB headphone output
Digiface Ravenna headphone output
Digiface Dante headphone output
Digiface AVB headphone output
The Digiface USB is the cheapest RME-solution for steering two analog synths.
Otherwise from Kenton :

That’s such a bummer. Sounds like I’ll be getting another interface specifically for recording my Eurorack system.
You can use the Expert Sleepers module. It connects to ADAT of your 802:

Is the headphone output of the Fireface 802 maybe dc coupled? On my old Fireface 400 I think it is.
However, I am also using expert sleepers with eurorack and can recommend that, that is the only solution I know which also has Inputs with no DC filters using the ES-6, great for signal analysis using the new Oscilloscope in RME's Digicheck or simply controlling software with CV.
For some older big jack analogue synths I got a Ferrofish Pulse 16 with CV Outs, but they took the CV option off the market.

Yes, on the old Fireface 400 it is. Actually almost every device with digital HP volume control. The 802 has an analog volume control. So no DC coupled outputs.
I see, thanks for clarifying!
