Topic: RME DigiFace Dante - Network ports don't seem to be working

Hi all,

Recently got my DF Dante, and at first setup it worked as expected. Installed the newest drivers for MacOS (M2 Pro, 14.4.1), and had a go with Live Professor.

Now I have integrated the DF into my systems rack. The first Primary and Secondary ports are connected to a Netgear M4250 (Different VLANs). The second Primary and Secondary port go directly to the patch panel on the rear.
The first time I powered on the rack with everything build in it worked as expected. But now when I turn on the rack none of the network ports show activity.

I've tried to power via USB, and connecting a device with VSC to one of the ports, but it still doesn't connect or show activity on the ports.

I have tried different drivers, reinstalled the firmware and tried different (all working) USB/RJ45 cables. Nothing works.
I also haven't done anything to the dante settings, as the normal operating mode (Dual Redundant ports) is fine for me.

When I launch FireFace USB Settings all looks normal except the 'Dante & Clock Status' tab. That shows 'no data available'.

Does anybody have an idea?

Unfortunately, that seems like a hardware issue with the Audinate Brooklyn module inside the unit. Please contact the seller or local RME distributor for help with a repair or exchange.

That's the only thing I can't troubleshoot. I'll contact them for a replacement/repair.

One last thing i've thought of: does the RME care about PoE? It's enabled by default on all ports on the Netgear. Shouldn't be a problem I think?

Shouldn't be a problem, PoE is not needed nor used.
