A search for "SW Version"showed no hits

When starting my UCX Fireface II, Th display shows :" SW version 34"
Stands "SW" for software?  And is this correct ?
I downloaded and installed the latest drivers.

Yes correct.
If you open the Fireface Settings program it shows you the firmware number at the top.

There are two things to check
- firmware (fut_usb_win.zip) and
- driver (e.g. driver_usb_win_1251.zip).
Both should be up to date.

Firmware: the ZIP archive of the firmware has a README file.
From this, you can see that the firmware consists of several components: USB, DSP, CC and each has a version number:
Fireface UCX II Hw Rev. 6: USB 43, DSP 34, Class Compliant 21
Fireface UCX II Hw Rev. 7: USB 106, DSP 34, Class Compliant 104
What you see in the display of your device is the firmware version of the DSP: 34.
Tip: simply download the latest version of fut_tool. Once you run it, it will tell you whether the firmware needs an update.

Driver: in the driver settings dialog (TAB "About"), you see the version of your driver and a hardware revision which matches with the USB version, see Readme file of the firmware above (not the DSP version from the display).
Tip: compare driver version number from driver settings with the version that you see in the download section on webserver. If a newer one is available, then you can install it.

Before Updating driver you should backup your system -> Macrium Reflect Home.

" SW version 34" does not mean version of the driver. It is version of DSP firmware of your FF UCX II. As Waedi and Ramses already wrote.

Maybe it would be better if RME would use "firmware" or "DSP SW" instead of "SW" to avoid any confusion...
