Topic: RME DIGICheck NG new inteface

Hey guys, i downloaded the new RME DIGICheck software for the M1 computers, is there anyway to watch the old design?
the new one is so much worse and hard to work with, rms\peak levels are no where to be found and stereo field is not as good.
anyone feeling the same?

Thanks!!

No, but you can install both in parallel.
The old DIGIcheck is mature and it gives you also Global Record (at least on Windows).
If you like it more, then you can still use the old version.

I don't think the old DIGICheck still works on M1.

Hmm, yes that could be.

Re: RME DIGICheck NG new inteface

Latest "old" DIGICheck is v0.73 for Macs. It is I386 (32 bit) only.
The last version of macOS that supported the execution of 32bit applications was macOS 10.14 "Mojave".

M1 Macs natively need at least macOS 11 "Big Sur".

So the only workaround  is to install a VM (qemu-based x86_64 emulation) and install Mojave as guest.
-> But it will be always extremly slow. In fact, unusable for audio processing.
