Topic: Audio Dropouts in Protools with M3max MB pro on Sonoma 14.6.1

Hi there,

i currently installed the driver kit (not kernel) onto my system and the legacy Fireface UC works and can be used as playback engine in Pro Tools Ultimate.

Unfortunately I have audio drop outs every few seconds. Both in playback and recording.

When I use the Fireface as Output for browser activities there seems to be no such issue.

I am grateful for any help or suggestion.

Wich driver version is in use ?
Is the firmware in the UC up to date, version 127 ? The Fireface USB Settings Dialog will show the version.

driver is v4.16 / firmware is v127

I found the problem: it was a missing plugin license!

Gonna start with a project now and see how it is going.

No dropouts anymore since getting the license back to work.
