Topic: UFX Loopback doesn’t work with Logic Pro X

I tried using loopback feature on my UFX in Logic Pro to record songs from the internet to be stem split but when I hit record I get a crazy amount  of buzz and feedback.

When I try to record using Loopback in Studio One, it works perfectly.

Has anyone experienced this?  Any Logic Pro experts here that would know what may cause this to happen?

FYI…I’m using loop back thru the AES input.  Not sure if that matters which channel you choose.

Sound like you created a feedback loop.
Switch off Input monitoring in the Logic track where you try to record.

And it doesn't matter wich channel you use for the Loopback, you have to keep control over the routing and the channel numbers.

Interesting.  Input monitoring, the "I" is disabled but it looks like I had to MUTE the track.  That seemed to work.  Thank you for the help.

You also could change the output channel of Logic and adjust the mix in Totalmix to prevent the Logic output feeding into the Loopback.

Makes sense.  Thanks.
