Topic: Help choosing Headphones according to RME quality

Hello RME Community

Currently I'm using an Audio-Technica ATH-M50X and loving it but IMHO I don't perceive any very slight EQ changes in mids and high frequencies in TM→Mic1/2→EQ. I'm sure of:

• I'm doing the right thing with UCX2 and TM
• I'm more than 50 years old and decades working in noisy musical environments but my last audiometry didn't show significant losses according to my age.

Do you thing that the ATH-M50X is enough clear, accurate and transparent?

If not ...

Please, may you help me choose headphones for my UCX II? Open, Semi-Open or Closed?

They must be Over-Ears for use exclusively in Home-Studio and I'm on a budget of ~500€.

Thanks in advance

Re: Help choosing Headphones according to RME quality

You should choose headphones that you like, not according to the gear you connect them to. You will get 25 different opinions and recommendations here, but in the end, your ears decide (and your head, in terms of comfort). Find a place that has a selection of phones to try, that's much better than asking here... :-)
