Topic: Clock sync and sample rate change

Hi,

I have an RME UC used for listening only. The sound source is a bluesound streamer, connected via spdif (coax) to the RME. In the RME settings the clock is set to SPDIF coax. and the sample rate to 44100hz (and is grayed). When I play sound that has a different sample rate (48kh) the sample rate in the RME doesn't change. Instead in the settings it shows 48khz in red next to the 44.1 that is grayed.
What am I missing here? isn't clock sync supposed to change the sample rate automatically?
Sorry for the ignorance.

Re: Clock sync and sample rate change

Nope, there is no 'Follow Clock' feature for that device when using USB. It might work in stand-alone mode with SPDIF as source, so with USB removed. But of course then you have no control over the unit.
