Topic: Is it possible yet to download and use ADI-2 Remote on android?

I was wondering if it is at all possible yet to use ADI-2 Remote on an Android tablet such as the Samsung device i currently own. This would make the remote device an actual remote device.

I did see in other posts where people said that you could use ADI-2 Remote on android with Musicbee, but i don't think this is what i need. I need to be able install the remote onto my Samsung tablet and actually control the ADI-2 2/4 SE that i am using as an AD/DA converter.

Any help regarding the above would be very much appreciated.

Re: Is it possible yet to download and use ADI-2 Remote on android?

You are mixing things.

ADI-2 Remote is a remote control program for ADI-2 DAC/Pro, 2/4 Pro SE available for Windows and Apple.
It needs the MADIface driver installed and a USB connection to the device.

"MusicBee" is a music player for Windows (only).
This player can be remote controlled by "MusicBee Remote" (an Android application) via WLAN.
For this to work the "MusicBee" Player requires a plugin installed called "MusicBee remote" (if I remember right).
On Windows, you should check Firewall settings, whether this network communication is allowed.

ADI-2 Remote app is available for Windows and iPad.

The commands are documented, so in theory it‘s possible for someone to program an Android version.
But - currently my search didn‘t reveal any …

Meanwhile the IR-Remote can control the basic functions needed for music listening too.
