Topic: Feature Request
I'm sure this has been mentioned before but it would be great if we had a few virtual ports in Totalmix so I don't have to use precious channels for loopback.

You are right, this feature has been requested.
See Totalmix is a remote software for the hardware interface.
The requested virtual channels would have to exist as real audio channels inside the interface and the hardware is usually maxed out.
This means if you must have more Loopback input channels you will have to buy a bigger interface, Madi...

I'm not sure that hardware is needed for virtual loopback channels?
Sure it is. Input and output channels that do something need resources, including RAM and logic cells within the FPGA. Virtual channels only in software (app or driver) would not have access to additional TotalMix FX channels. How should that work?

I have no idea! I just thought I'd ask...
